Week 14 - The start of Academic week...

Monday - 14th August 2023

Another week, another blog entry I'll write for you dear readers!

Eventhough it is Monday today, the kids and teachers were wearing their CO-CU uniform as it was their yearly meeting for Unit Kokurikulum Sekolah. The school decided to celebrate Hari Koperasi. There were a lot of fun activities including Cabutan Bertuah worth up to RM 50 to be won! Unfortunately, I was not one of the lucky people to won. Aziah and Ummu won RM 20 each from our KOPERASI. The rest of the day, I asked 1 Ruby to do more drillings on grammar as they have yet to master the basic ones,  not even with the past simple tense! 🙄

Tuesday - 15th August 2023

Today marks the 14th week I am teaching SEPERMAI kids. I didnt have much to do except to update my file and start printing out my LPs and had them signed by our mentor. After our daily assembly had ended, I stayed at the hall with four classes for a relief class. I let them do their own work as long as they did not do anything that are dangerous or bad. One of the classes I monitored was 2 Berlian. I really like talking  with 2 Berlian boys as their topics are always interesting and funny. This time, Jibril and Kaavish showed me their Sankrit Journal which contains with unidentified alphabets (which I asummed were Roman's). Jibril told me he was interested in learning new languages and on of them was the Romans and Japanese's Kanji. He showed me that he'd been writing secret diary using the Roman alphabets he learnt from the internet. 😅

Wednesday - 16th August 2023

Our school organised Hari Keusahawanan today. A lot of students and teachers were selling foods and crafts with their clubs and classmates. Kadet JPJ did not plan on selling anything so I was free to roam around and buy foods! The kids were also busy following me and Aziah, asking for us to take photos with them and now my gallery is full with their pictrues. 🤭

In the evening, after my class with 1 Intan, I went to watch the singing competition held by Panitia Bahasa Melayu at the hall. It was very interesting too!

Thursday -  17th August 2023

I finally met 1  Topez today. However, 10 minutes into my lesson Cikgu Ann asked the  kids to join Ceramah Kerjaya organised by UBK and counsellors. Feeling sad, I had to go back to the staff room and do some revisions on the new topic I'll be learning with 1  Intan in the evening. 1 Intan seemed excited to learn Kuasa Dua dan Kuasa Tiga as it only needs them to insert the numbers into their calculators. As simple as that!!

After Asr prayer, the students that participated in a singing competition held by Panitia Bahasa Inggeris were asked to gather at the school hall. I was the stage manager, Ummu worked as the sound assistant and Aziah as the emcees. The kids seemed to enjoy the performances very well. There were 29 contestants registered!

Friday - 18th August 2023

It was a normal Friday and I couldnt wait for the day to over as  I was so excited for the weekend. Before my class with 1 Ruby started, I spent my time in the staff room editing the poster for yesterday event. It was the compilation of the photos I took. As for my class with 1 Topez, we did correction for part 2  essay of their English Paper 2. I also sent the result of my classes to Mdm Hamizah as per requested through Telegram.
